This will be our sixth tour to the beautiful country of Costa Rica but with a brand-new itinerary visiting areas we have never been to before. The combination of wildlife and scenic photography opportunities in this specific tour has made it one of the most unique expeditions we offer with many people returning for multiple tours. We will start our trip in the capital city of San Jose. We will then head to the Sarapiqui region to take in Frog Heaven with the ultimate chance to capture the red-eye tree frog. After this, we go to the Maquenque Lodge for two nights stay in the rain forest to have close-up opportunities of many types of birds and sloths (hopefully) as well as a boat tour giving us an even better viewpoint for various wildlife. Then we will go to Rio Celeste Hideaway Hotel for two nights giving us the chance to photograph one of our two stunning waterfalls with aqua colored pools at the bottom as well as a native village. Our final stop includes two nights near the Arenal Volcano to enjoy cloud-forest swinging bridges, hot springs, another waterfall and always wildlife. We will end our trip back in San Jose for easy departure from the airport. The vast array of photo opportunities will allow participants to sharpen all their skills all in one trip. Cost includes ground transportation (private mini-bus), full-time driver and English-speaking guide, 8 nights’ accommodations, all meals and instruction. Cost does not include international airfare and tips for guide and driver (personal decision), or alcoholic beverages. Minimum 6 participants. The remaining balance will be due 60 days before the start of the trip. Travel insurance is strongly recommended, and each participant will be asked to sign a waiver if they do not purchase trip insurance.
