Join us on our first official expedition (we scouted it out earlier this year) to the incredibly beautiful country of Portugal. Offering scenic ocean landscapes, castles, street and surfing photography and welcoming culture, Portugal has a wide variety of photographic opportunities awaiting us.
We will meet everyone in Lisbon at the airport on the first day, Saturday, Feb. 3rd (so you will fly out from the US on Feb. 2nd), and head directly to Nazare which is a small coastal fishing village and our jumping-off point for the majority of the trip. This location is also the home to the largest recorded surfing waves in the world and we are there during the season when we might be able to capture some great action photos even if the waves are not 100 feet. Beyond photographing multiple sunsets, churches, street scenes, and more in Nazare, we will head out on multiple days to visit Porto (second largest city), Sintra, Obidos, and many other areas that will give us castles, more scenic opportunities, etc. Towards the end of the week, we will return to Lisbon to take in a couple of top photo spots before flying back home (on Saturday, Feb. 10th). Not only will this be our second International Expedition that we offer trips to but may also have one of the best varieties of photography opportunities.
Cost includes ground transportation, 8 nights’ accommodations, all meals, entry fees, and instruction. A passport is required, and travel insurance is highly recommended. (Cost does not include international airfare, alcoholic beverages, or any personal incidental). Minimum 3 and maximum 6 for this tour (at 6, there will be two leaders).
