This expedition to Maine will include the best of landscape and wildlife photography inland Maine (at Moosehead Lake) as well as our favorite locations on the coast (lighthouses, fishing harbors and much more). We may even get some fall foliage to enjoy given the time of year, a macro opportunity at a botanical garden and of course, great food. We will start the afternoon of Sept. 24 in Portland and depart on Oct. 1st from the same airport. Based off of our experience earlier this summer with the moose photography opportunity, we scheduled this tour when the bull moose will have full antlers and be in the rut. Most of our accommodations will be near the water ranging from two nights on the shore of the pristine mountain lake to two nights right next to a beautiful lighthouse. Weather permitting, we will also have a boat tour in the Rockland, ME area allowing us to shoot images from a different vantage point.
Cost includes ground transportation from Portland, 7 nights private accommodations, all meals (except two lunches which will be on your own) and instruction as well as admission and tour fees, etc.. Airline travel to and from Portland, Maine is the participant’s responsibility. A reduced price of $1600 will be available for a spouse or guest rooming with the registrant. Minimum 5 participants, maximum 10. Deposit $500, Remaining Balance due 45 days before.
